The Place

This week, I am back on the Ohio side of the river at The Banks. The restaurant I am reviewing is E &O Kitchen, an Asian-fusion spot that happens to serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday. Looking forward to changing it up and sampling my first Asian inspired brunch.

Location & Parking

E & O Kitchen is located in the Radius at The Banks apartment building on Freedom Way (street level). They have two additional locations as well, Hyde Park & Loveland. I snagged free Sunday meter parking in front of the restaurant. There is a parking garage on Race Street as too. I try to avoid most garage parking, prices are steep for a 1 hour brunch. Reservations are accepted on Open Table.

Atmosphere

The atmosphere goes along with the vibe of The Banks, casual, upbeat, and fun. There are nice touches of sea-inspired murals in the restaurant, street lighting on the ceiling, and green topiaries above the bar. Seating includes ample bar, half booth/chair, table/chair, and high-top. Outdoor seating is available in spring and summer. Host and wait staff were friendly and accommodating. The AM cocktail menu was simple but solid. I ordered the Pineapple Mimosa, refreshing with good bubbles to juice ratio. My stepmom ordered The Bloody Mary which had all the essential garnishes, great spice and seasoning.

Order-Up

Breakfast Fried Rice

Going right along with the Asian-fusion theme, I ordered the Breakfast Fried Rice. This dish was comprised of rice, green, onion, spam (first time ever having spam!), an over easy egg, and a panko breaded fried chicken cutlet with a maple glaze. This menu item was amazing and exploding with flavor! All ingredients were cooked perfectly. The addition of the egg and the fried chicken made it very fulfilling.

Breakfast Buddha Bowl

My stepmother ordered the Breakfast Buddha Bowl which was nothing short of extremely fresh. The bowl consisted of sliced avocado, veggies (shredded carrots, cucumber, and pickled red onion, and fried eggs. This was a great healthy breakfast option, flavors went well with one another.

Overall Experience

The overall experience at E & O Kitchen was wonderful. Great AM cocktails, original brunch dishes (also options for traditional ones too), and a great chill atmosphere.

Rating: 4⭐

E & O Kitchen receives four stars! One for each category: Atmosphere, Service, AM Cocktail, and Plate. This place definitely offers something different in terms of brunch. The Breakfast Fried Rice was one of the best brunch dishes I have ever tried! I am looking forward to coming back when it is warm out and trying the Lobster Fried Rice for dinner!
